A villa in a lot of urbanistic completion.
A very solar approach.
The volumes do not look for lightness, but manifest themselves in neat, stark contours, thanks to the flat roof, the solidity of the wall mass; wide openings contain windows exposed to the winter sun. What protects the windows and delineates the covered external spaces is a light system of projections, terraces, cantilever roofs and screenings. Stainless steel and rebuilt wood give a sense of temporary setting around a durable solidity.
The house has a north-facing back and links to the massive volumes through a south-facing glass diaphragm.
The living areas are arrayed in sequence, with increasing volumes and decreasing heights until the exterior, the swimming pool. Light advanced systems contribute to an extremely low consumption rate of the building – energy need less than 14 kwh/m2 per year.
