The term energy-tuning refers to the improvement of the energy efficiency of a building on an existing blueprint.
It is a service for developers, building contractors and engineers. It produces an executive project that parallels calculations of heat dispersion and that considers the system for heat distribution.
Once decided the desired energy class , we calculate the energy need of the project , evaluate several steps to improve the shell, choose the right and most cost-effective type of intervention, produce the executive blueprint, follow construction and finally certify both project and building. Above all, the energy efficiency of a building depends on the external shell, the choice of materials and the quality of the heat distribution system; finally, it depends on the energy source deployed. Similar considerations can be made about living comfort and building sustainability.
It is an architect’s job: to evaluate the formal aspects of a project, the performance against the previous solutions, areas of concern such as thermal and acoustic bridges, dampness, air change and the relative economic viability. This designing precedes and determines the dimension of the heating system. It allows to foresee the final consumptions and it guarantees the certification of the building in the desired energy class.
